Apply Directly (Self-Application)

Foreign students may complete the entire admission process by themselves. Students who wish to apply for the MBBS program at Army Medical College Jashore must follow the official admission procedure as directed by the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh. Here’s the official application process for foreign students to apply directly to Army Medical College Jashore:

Step 1: Verify Eligibility

Ensure the following:

1. ‘A’ level or equivalent exam must be completed within 3 years of ‘O’ level or equivalent exam.
2. Minimum aggregated GPA in ‘O’ level or equivalent and ‘A’ level or equivalent examination is 7.00 (seven)
3. Minimum GPA in Biology: 3.50 (at least 60% marks) out of 5.00 scale in ‘A’ level or equivalent exam.
4. For calculating GPA against the percentage of marks obtained in ‘O’ level or other equivalent exam only top 5 subjects are considered.
5. For calculation of GPA against the marks obtained in ‘A’ level or equivalent exam, only 3 subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are considered.

Step 2: Attestation of Academic Documents

Before applying, your academic documents must be attested by:

1. Ministry of Education of your home country
2. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your home country
3. Bangladesh Mission/Embassy in your home country

Documents to be attested:

1. SSC/ Grade 10/ O-Level Certificate & Marksheet
2. HSC/ Grade 12/ A-Level Certificate & Marksheet
3. NEET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST) score card (applicable for Indian students only)
4. Birth Certificate Copy/Passport Copy
5. Recent passport-size photographs

Step 3: Apply for Equivalence & Eligibility Certificate (Online)

Once your academic documents are attested by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your home country:

1. Visit the DGME Foreign Student Portal:

https://foreignstudents.dgme.gov.bd/apply/foreign-students

2. Register and log in to your account.
3. Upload the following attested documents:
   1. Passport copy
   2. SSC/ Grade 10/ O-Level and HSC/ Grade 12/ A-Level mark sheets and certificates (attested)
   3. Passport-size photograph
4. Submit the online form and pay the required fee.
5. Track your application status online.
6. Once approved, you’ll receive the Equivalence and Eligibility Certificate from the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Bangladesh. This certificate is required for admission in AMCJ.

Step 4: Submit Application to Army Medical College Jashore

Once you have the equivalence certificate:

1. Email scanned copies of the following documents to Army Medical College Jashore official email address:
   1. Equivalence & Eligibility Certificate from DGME
   2. Attested academic documents (SSC/ Grade 10/ O-Level & HSC/ Grade 12/ A-Level)
   3. NEET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST) Scorecard (Applicable only for Indian applicants)
   4. Passport copy
   5. Recent passport-sized photographs
   6. Adhar Card/ Nationality Certificate
   7. Certificate of Bachelorhood
   8. Character Certificate
   9. No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the relevant authorities in the applicant’s home country.
   10. Filled admission application form
   11. Motivation letter (only if specifically requested)

Step 5: Receive Offer Letter

If your application is accepted:

1. You will receive a Provisional Offer Letter confirming your eligibility for admission at AMCJ.
2. This letter is required to apply for your student visa.
3. The offer letter will include:
   1. Confirmation of acceptance
   2. Booking fee payment instructions
   3. College address and session start date

Step 6: Apply for Student Visa

Apply for a student visa at your nearest Bangladesh High Commission/Embassy using:

1. Offer Letter from AMCJ
2. Equivalence Certificate from DGME
3. Attested academic documents
4. Passport
5. Visa application form & fee
6. Passport-sized photos
7. Police clearance/ No Objection Certificate (NOC)/ Any other documents required by the embassy. Please follow the requirements of your local Bangladesh mission.

Step 7: Payment of Booking Money

1. Booking money of US$ 8,000 may be paid before or after visa processing as per your convenience.
2. Bank account name, number, and SWIFT code will be shared in the Offer Letter once all eligibility criteria are fulfilled and AMCJ formally agrees to your admission.
3. Once payment is confirmed, your seat will be booked.
4. The admission fee (US$ 14,500) may be:
   1. Paid together with the booking money, or
   2. Paid after arrival at AMCJ during formal admission.
5. Remaining fees must be paid as per the published schedule during each academic year.

Step 8: Travel to Bangladesh

Once the visa is approved:

1. Book your flight to Bangladesh.
2. Inform the college of your arrival date, flight number, and port of entry at least 1 week in advance.
3. AMCJ will assist with:
   1. Campus directions & detailed necessary travel guidance
   2. Pickup service from Jashore Airport or Benapole Land Port
   3. Transport to college campus
   4. Hostel accommodation

Step 9: Final Admission & Enrollment

Upon arrival at Army Medical College Jashore:

1. Submit all original documents for verification
2. Pay the admission fee (US$ 14,500) (if not paid earlier with booking fee)
3. Undergo a brief medical check-up
4. Attend a short interview with the CEO
5. Complete admission formalities
6. Join orientation and start orientation
